About this Event
“Remove The Mask- The Mask Workshop”
With Jesse Wilson, Communications Specialist and Jury Trial Consultant
Jesse here. Deep in the Santa Monica Mountains, there is a magical place where a magical human being named Chris Madeksho lives. Chris is a great trial lawyer and also a great friend of mine, and he is generously hosting this one day workshop, “Remove The Mask- The Mask Workshop.”
This workshop is limited to 10 trial attorneys only who are looking to up their game in the vital art of great storytelling, which is really the art of human connection in disguise.
Although I love Chris, I know Chris wouldn’t be hosting this special event if he wasn’t doing it for entirely selfish reasons either. Chris wants to continue growing powerfully as a human being in front of his jurors. And there is no other art form I know of that will take you there more powerfully than the use of the mask– one of the oldest, coolest, and most effective tools of transformation from the stage that I know of.
I had the priveldge of studying the mask for years, and I can’t wait to share the work with you.
Chris says: “I’ve worked with the mask with Jesse at Trial Lawyers College, and it’s been a game changer in being able to step into my presence and to listen at a greater level than I ever thought I was capable of.”
Working with the mask will help you deeply trust the right story you need to share with your jurors when you realize where the right story always lives… in your body.
Non-verbal communication is a doorway into the most vital skill the trial lawyer can ever grow to master: more than strictly great storytelling, the lawyer must master the art of human connection, one of the most important and most often ignored trial skills there is.
Here is the place to sharpen your storytelling skills and greatest storytelling instrument (you) through the use of The Character and Neutral Mask.
When it comes to removing the mask of your client to discover their deep emotional truth, it requires imagination, collaboration, trust, and courage to be able to look deeper into the light of who they are… but mainly it requires you to know what you’re even looking for in the first place. Your job is to help remove your client’s mask before depositions are even taken. And that begins with discovering how they need to be seen in this story you are telling together.
That means you have to look deeper. That means you have to look beneath the mask.
Here’s the place to rip that mask off.
In our 1 Day Workshop, you will journey through the 3 Acts of The Mask. The 3 Acts are:
Act I- Self Connection
Act II- Client Connection
Act III- Jury Connection
This will be a day and an experience you will never forget.
Upon registration, you will recieve a welcome letter with a more specific breakdown of the day’s agenda as well as nearby recommended spots for good lodging if you’re coming in from out of town.
Chris and I look forward to playing with you.
Welcome to the stage.
